pyramid showing accountability on the bottom, knowledge in the middle, and practice on the top The Division of Professional Learning and Assessment supports the mission of the Education Professional Standards Board (EPSB) by maintaining the array of tests required for teacher and administrator certification, and by overseeing an active research agenda. The division publishes reports and information related to quality in educator preparation and practice. In addition, the division provides research support for the board and cooperates with a variety of external researchers on behalf of the EPSB. The division also oversees the Continuing Education Option, National Board Certification, Kentucky Internship Programs, and Local Educator Assignment Data (LEAD).
